Alex Conway, PT, DPT, CMTPT, is a physical therapist and the owner of Conway Physical Therapy in Appleton, Wisconsin. His approach to patient care is rooted in curiosity, careful listening, and a desire to understand the connections that are often missed when looking only at the area that hurts.
Alex has long been fascinated by how the body functions as an interconnected system. His background in both physical therapy and psychology shaped an early interest in the relationship between the body, nervous system, stress, emotion, movement, and pain. That curiosity has led him to pursue advanced training in Fascial Counterstrain, craniosacral therapy, Barral Institute techniques, and osteopathic manual medicine through Michigan State University.
Fascial Counterstrain has become a central part of how he evaluates and treats patients, particularly those with persistent, complex, or difficult-to-explain symptoms. He enjoys listening closely to a patient’s story, examining the body as a whole, and asking deeper questions when the obvious explanation does not fully account for what they are experiencing.
Alex sees treatment as a process of investigation and collaboration. His goal is to help patients better understand their symptoms, uncover meaningful contributors to dysfunction, and move toward greater comfort, resilience, and function.
